Six new garments...

... but not a single item toward the Wardrobe in a Week. Here are my six garments; its hard to tell from the photo but there are two pairs of grey leggings and one pair of chocolate brown ones. The top on the left of the photo has jewels on the neckline but they don't show well in the photo. The fabric is the same as the grey leggings. The middle top is a cowl neck, New Look 6470, made from a piece of poly knit recently purchased from Abhakan fabrics. The right hand top is a self drafted turtle neck, which I had hoped would work with the overdress but sadly it doesn't. The fabric was left over from a previous project and I was pleased to find a pattern that would work with the small, odd shaped piece I had left.

I managed, with a bit of careful planning, to get a second top from the same fabric as the cowl neck. This one is a plain turtle neck and should work with the dress. So with any luck, tomorrow I will finish my first item for the WIAW and get a start on the dress, which I will hopefully get cut out tonight.

Oh wow, you have been doin some serious sewing! If that's the 1st 2 days.... you'll be needing to buy new fabric by the end of it ;-) I guess you ahve pretty much justified the new overlocker already!

(btw... the only functioning email I have is my hotmail account, long story, but anything sent to my other account hasn't got through for about 3 weeks. So nice. Grr.)

Cheers,
AJ

Wow! I am impressed at your output. Everything looks so nicely finished and I know is things you will wear lots. The pink print looks nice as a top :-)

Your overlocker has paid for itself already with a great set of garments.

Can I ask why the turtle neck didn't work with the overdress, was it the colour or the style?
