I completed the blue cotton shirt today and am quite pleased with how it came out. It seems to fit much better than the previous versions and initially seems more comfortable. The side seams appear to be falling in the correct place and although there are some wrinkles on the upper back, this is necessary to allow me to move. As I usually wear a jacket, this won't show too badly most of the time, and it will hopefully mean ripped backs will be a thing of the past. I find that because I've never really had a good fit from ready to wear throughout my life, it is very difficult for me to recognise correct fit, in terms of comfort as well as look. However, this looks very much like the fit on the pattern envelope and so I am hoping I have finally got this shirt conquered. I shall wear this tomorrow to test the comfort level and if it doesn't annoy me in any way, fit wise, I may well cut a second version on Sunday.
The shirt goes comfortably under my new plaid overdress, and also goes beautifully with a few items in the cupboard that don't have many mates, so here's hoping it passes the comfort test.

What a lovely shirt. Fits really nicely on you, really wearable style.
Will be great under the plaid dress or under a pullover in the winter.
Great looking shirt, and I also hope the comfort level was good.
Do you do a broad back adjustment, I've been told to do this to stop the back armholes from ripping.
