At midnight last night I drew through the last thread from the last coverstitched hem on the last of six black tops. Sewing black all weekend, I thought my eyes were going to fall out, but these tops will be extremely useful.
left to right on top row: Black slinky on Twiggy. Black slinky on hanger. Black lace. Black lycra. The latter looks rather pulled at the armholes and neckline. I went a bit mad when I shortened the neckline binding. It doesn't look that bad when its actually on me.
All six were made from BWOF 10-2006 Number 114 in a size 36 as part of my ongoing test run of this pattern line to see what sizes I should make and which alterations I should carry out. I will get a review done soon but needed to get the photos up on here first.
The top is a lot less fitted than the self drafted pattern I have been using but I think the self draft might be a little overfitted. I am hoping these are going to work out as well as, or perhaps better than, the self draft for plain and basic polos, round necks, scoop necks and the like. At the very least it means I have one pattern suited to less stretchy knits which is always a good thing to have on hand.
Sadly, because they are all black, they photographed terribly. I have included one shot on the dress form, but the light was bad. Whilst I apologise that most shots are on hangers, I can only say in my defence that this was the only way I could get any detail shot at all. I hung them directly in front of my floor standing OTT light with the shade pointing upward. Its not a lamp I can move about and there was no suitable place to stand the camera to take a shot of me wearing the items with the lamp shining on me and the garment.
Coming soon. The blouse... also mostly black.

They have come out brilliantly and I love the undertops to wear with the lace polonecks. I am sure you will wear them all lots,
