The weekend was lovely in the end with plenty of sunshine, so my jam got made, along with some strawberry syrup, which is divine in plain yoghurt, on icecream or just on bread or scones if you don't mind the syrup sliding off and dripping on you. Also some strawberries did make it to the freezer, but most of the rest got eaten with cream, though I did use some to make strawberry lemonade (just as yummy as it sounds). Recipe was courtesy of PyxieSticks on Ravelry and I drank it all in one day... greedy being that I am.
Socks are still in progress. The patterned sock has now got an increasingly lengthening foot and it wasn't at all difficult to follow the pattern onto the foot. I did put a lifeline in, but stupid soul that I am, I only put it in the patterned section... Not the most intelligent decision I took this week but luckily I didn't have to rip it back.
Talking of ripping, Purdy has torn a dew claw this week, whilst chasing after a rabbit. She didn't have to be anaesthetised this time but the claw removal at the vets wasn't a pleasant experience for any of those involved. She will be in pain for quite a while and I am not her favourite person right now since I have to check it to make sure its not infected. She is doing her best to ensure that my "looking at it" is confined to utilising x-ray vision to view the sore area through her thick fur, and from a physical distance of approximately forty feet.
In the sewing room, I have started a satin top in an "interesting" and rather loud print. However, since it is sleeveless and the weather is getting colder, I have temporarily lost interest in moving forward with that. It only needs the inner collar catching down, the armhole facings putting in, and the hem doing, but I don't like doing facings so that has given me further excuse to procrastinate.

I've been watching telly. Not at all productive, but sometimes you just get tired.
