And here it is, in all its glory... all 22 yards of it. Except for the denim, twill and Bemberg, all these fabrics were the princely sum of $1.95 a yard!
Top row, left to right: Navy cotton/rayon faille. Four yards. This is Vera Wang fabric and there is a thread on PatternReview dedicated to the Vera Wang sale fabrics. I gather there were a number of different navy failles on sale, and I am particularly pleased to find that I have got one that appears to be waterproof. It was sold as suiting but has that rustle of waterproofs about it, and water beads on it and runs straight off. So this will most likely become some smarter waterproof trousers for me to wear to walk to work. The rest may become a bag to carry my kit to work in, something smarter than the rucksack I have now. I have to search out a suitable pattern. I wish I'd ordered more so I could have a trenchcoat too.
Red Ambiance/bemberg rayon lining. 2 yards.
Dove grey rayon Satin. Also by Vera Wang, this is more of a brown grey than I had expected but I wanted it for lining and underwear so its fine for those purposes.
Polyester matte jersey in Naples colourway. This is a lovely bluey teal shade and very drapey. It will make a lovely cowl top.
Raspberry cotton poor boy knit. No lycra. This is really thin but seems drapey and soft and the colour is lovely.
Bottom row, left to right: Stretch denim with 4% lycra in azure. 4 yards. Which will be jeans and mum will have half of it for her next jeans project.
Teal poor boy knit. Cotton. Very thin and drapey.
Black Vera Wang wool suiting. 4 yards. Virgin wool with 4% lycra. This will be trousers and skirts. It is a gorgeous fine and quite lightweight fabric. Very impressive for $1.95 a yard.
Sand colour stretch twill. 1.5 yards, which will hopefully be enough for a pair of summer trousers or jeans.

What a haul! Much fun to be had.
Regarding the bag pattern, can I suggest looking at NicoleM's stuff?

Some of her patterns are available from Klein's in London, otherwise, Australian postage. But it wasn't as steep as I thought for just patterns and arrived quite quickly.
Enjoy admiring you new fabric.
Cheers,
AJ
Absolutely gorgeous fabrics. They go really well together and I am sure you will make some beautiful garments from them.
