but the photos are terrible. Sorry. I'm not sure how useful these pictures will be. You may need to take my word for the fact that they look good, I've finished them, and they are hung on the wardrobe door waiting to be worn to work tomorrow. Its very unusual for me to do a "sew it today, wear it tomorrow project" so I am very pleased.
The fabric is black wool and viscose with lycra which came from Rosenbergs' stand at the last Knitting and Stitching show. I got three metres gifted for Christmas and its really lovely. It has a soft, almost spongy texture, it drapes divinely, pressed obediently and the trousers feel satisfactorily heavy and expensive. They have an invisible zipper in the left side seam.. which is actually almost invisible (that doesn't always hold true when I insert them). Are plain black trousers a bit boring? Not these... they have an inner secret. Behold the mad poly satin lining.
Now I know they work, I can use the pattern to compare other trousers to.

Hurray!!
And hurray for mad satin linings, too!
Cheers,

Oh they are great. I love that the Master Pattern worked SO well. Now it can be the source for all future pattern iterations.
The lining is FAB. Those look like such serious and sensible quality trousers, and yet the lining inside is completely mad and OTT. Just brilliant. I hope you have a big grin when wearing them. Try not to shrink them in the wash.
Great!
You deserve a fabulous pants pattern, you really worked hard for it. FWIW, now it looks effortless!
Oh, neat neat neat!! I wanted to post the hands clapping gif.
