Marfy Muslin

Oops, I just realised today that I have been rambling on and on about this jacket, but I've not posted the photo of the finished muslin. I know I meant to do it ages ago, but I just checked, and I didn't. So here it is, Marfy 1444. Not the greatest photo unfortunately. Twiggy doesn't have particularly well cast arms and isn't showing the jacket sleeves off to their best advantage. In wool, all that ease will be able to be distributed much more effectively and smoothly. Plus, I hadn't put the shoulder pads into place. The front facings aren't on either so the collar will be smaller than shown. I was quite pleased with the muslin until I took this photo..... I've added the catalogue picture so you can see some of the details which are not obvious in the muslin. I can't tell if the sleeves are supposed to be bracelet length in the catalogue, or whether the sleeves have ridden up because her arm is bent at the elbow.. my jacket will have full length sleeves.

What a nice jacket, I am sure it will be lovely when made up.

I just love this jacket and can't wait to see it made up in your tweed.
