Barb Trousers

I had enough of the stripy/brown knit that I made my jacket from to make these trousers.  I wasn't sure if they would work out OK, but amazingly they did and they should be quite warm and cosy.  I think they are smart enough for my current workplace, particularly for dress down Friday.

There isn't much to really write about these as they are super simple to make.  Just two pieces and the waistband which is shaped.  I've made my waistband a little more shaped than the original pattern though may need to review that soon as my waist and the pattern are starting to diverge a bit, and in the wrong direction as well.  The result of my current lack of exercise.

They are comfortable and warm and look nice with the jacket as well as with the zebra project sweater and I think I'd wear the sweater with the trousers more often than the jacket.  They will also work with the mushroom jacket that I have in the planning stages for SWAP as well as both tops that are planned so its possible these may go in to the SWAP in place of the skirt because I can't make my mind up what pattern to use for the skirt.

There is also a striped sweater in the planning stages, though I have yet to find time to move it from planning to knitting stage as I have a few other items ahead of it in the queue.  I have other brown sweaters though, and some nice neutral polo necks, so the trousers will get plenty of wear, even if the striped sweater doesn't materialise any time soon.

They look good. I have this pattern from when it was free but haven't even right about trying it yet. You fabric looks good - I guess the fabric is key?

I have the Barb somewhere too. I've not tried it yet though. They came out well and look comfortable.
