Major success.

The leggings are finished. I am not going to post a photograph, nor will there be one on my review. If I put them on under a sweater that was long enough to show them as they will be worn, you wouldn't be able to see if they fitted. If I showed them without the sweater over them, that would be way too much information. I am no longer nineteen and I don't think anyone needs to see that much of my backside thanks very much.

I've been working on the Marfy jeans all day and got them tacked together.... and was totally shocked but extremely pleased, to find they fit better than any other jeans I have ever made. They do need a few tweaks... I'd taken them in so much that the front pockets were seriously out of proportion with the jeans, also the pocket bags were half way to my knees, and the legs were much too long. I've done the tissue alterations and I think there will be enough of the denim left to make a second pair to test the latest tissue alterations. I also need to get two sets of back pockets out of the remaining denim since I didn't cut any for this pair in case they were a wadder. I am going to try and finish this pair, despite their flaws, and wear them to see if they are comfortable before I make the next, and hopefully finalised, pair. This week I will cut the next pair out, plus pockets. I should save some material by making a contrast lining for the waistband. Since I cut the inner and outer from denim this time, I will use the inner for the current pair, the outer for the other pair, quilting cotton for the inner waistband of each pair, plus the pocket linings of the second pair, and that should hopefully free up enough fabric to cut the back pockets, especially now the legs are shorter. We shall see.

LOL about the leggings, but I know what you mean. Bummer about the jeans. I guess you need to petiteify the pockets too then :-(
