Marfy 1075 Frankenpattern

A new white shirt using my latest TNT pattern.  The body is Marfy 1075, the collar/stand/cuffs and placket finish are from McCalls 8649 and the sleeves are from Marfy 0187.  A bit of a mishmash but it works for me.  This is the fourth item in my SWAP and is actually shown on Twiggy with the button through skirt that is also part of the SWAP.

The fabric is heavy cotton and lycra sateen.  I got it from Rosenbergs last year and was told it had been used to make dresses for, I believe, Oasis, though I may have misremembered that part.  It was lovely to sew with though it does show stitching marks easily being satin weave.  My hem, which I sewed by hand, is less than invisible.  It looks as though its pick stitched though, so its not too bad a look.  It doesn't ease all that well either, as I think you can see on the photos of the back.  however, it doesn't look like that on me... Twiggy and I are not entirely the same shape as each other any more.  :)

The "house with a chimney" placket on the sleeve took a fair bit of time to get right as a result of the stretchy nature of the fabric but the end result was worth it.
overall, I'm very pleased with how this shirt came out and wish I'd bought more of the fabric at the time.  I only got enough for one shirt.

The buttons are from Duttons for Buttons and are vintage glass.  I got a bag of clear and bag of black in similar style, but they aren't matched but are a mixed set of differing sizes and styles, though themed.  There were about 25 buttons in each set and they mostly have that rainbow finish on them (which can hopefully be seen in the close up even though my camera is being annoying and not taking proper photos).   They are so pretty and make me happy every time I look at them.

Wow, I can't believe this came from 3 patterns! You did a great job of matching up the structure and seams. I love the shaping of the side front and side back seams. I will have to look up 1075 and see what you started with, the results are very classic and fitting perfection.
Great job!
We should have our new catalogs by next week, I am giddy with excitement!
