Here is the swirl so far. There has been discussion here at SewYLD Towers about whether these things are cardigans or jackets though I daresay it doesn't really matter which they are. They are extraordinarily interesting to knit and look rather odd, to say the least, until they are seamed.
Here is the blueberry swirl just off the needles last night. I've folded it up a bit so you can see where the sleeves are. The collar is the narrow section at the top of the photo. It is actually all knit in one huge piece, then the circular part is blocked before two seams are sewn to bring it all together. The seams must look neat from both sides as the seam will show on the right side in places due to the way it is constructed. I am not good at sewing up knitting. In fact, I am very, very bad at sewing up knitting. Tomorrow I shall block it. The final photos will be dependent on how fast it dries, and how long it takes me to work out how to create a neat seam, But I am aiming to have it done this week as I really want to wear it.
