Lovely stripy sweater

The sweater is finished and I am extremely pleased with it. I don't think I've knit a garment I like this much for ages.

I designed this one entirely from scratch which sounds a lot cleverer than it actually was since its just a basic contiguous sweater, but striped. It has waist shaping and was knit quite long since I am going to wear it with leggings and I do not wish to show my leggings-clad behind to the world. The sweater is currently a long tunic length and being quite soft yarn, may well end up dress length over time.
The yarn is a scrap set I got from colourmart which I washed and showed off here a few weeks ago. Its really soft and was fabulous to knit with. It drapes well and is going to be lovely and warm. It's a mix of fibres, with a reasonable amount of merino and some cashmere together with some man made fibres. I have some of the greys and quite a bit of the cream left over, but only a tiny bit of the black marl. This was exactly as planned since I want to use the cream in with my other scrap set, to make a really long, dress length sweater.
The whole project just came together perfectly. I even managed to pick up the neckline stitches without incident.. never my most developed skill.
I will be wearing this with leggings and boots on Saturday, weather permitting.
