The jacket is coming along fairly well. Progress was feeling very slow up until this evening when I got the collar on and the side seams done up and it finally began to look as though one day it would be a jacket. The photos aren't great, I had to lighten them quite a bit to get even a bit of detail, but hopefully you can see the progress so far. The top stitching on the front and the pockets is white crochet cotton and it took two nights to complete by hand. I like the subtle way it outlines the panel and pockets but isn't too showy. The shoulders look a bit wrong on the photos but they should be OK once the shoulder pads go in. Also, I've included a photo of the buttons I chose for it on Saturday, which aren't quite as shiny as they appear in the photo.

It is looking good and love that top stitching.
Yes looking VERY good :-)
I LOVE that topstitching, what a great idea. That is really going to look fabulous with those buttons too. Why didn't I think of topstitching.
What did you use to mark the top stitching? It look so straight and perfect!
