Yet another big thick sweater.

During those times when the jacket was being ignored for its own safety, I was knitting. And after only three weeks (because its very thick wool on really big needles) I now have a lovely new sweater. I absolutely love the way this came out and I adore the colour. I've never had anything this colour before but its so cheerful and it goes so well with so many things in my wardrobe. For anyone interested, it is DROPS 116-38. What an unromantic title. Its subtitle is the very accurate, but not particularly exciting sounding, Tunic in Eskimo with cables mid front. I knit it in the Eskimo 100% wool yarn that it was designed for, and made mine about eight inches shorter than the pattern suggested because I wanted to wear it with both skirts and trousers. The original was just below the hip level and would not have worked with the brown suede A Line skirt that I particularly wanted to wear this with. I think I have enough wool left to make a pair of socks to wear in the house.

NICE! Is that teal? It can be hard to tell onscreen. I love teal. I love blue anyway, but especially teal. And with a brown suede skirt? Sounds perfect!

I almost never use the yarn recommended. At least not for myself. That might explain the number of pattern rewrites I have to do!?!

Cheers,
AJ

The teal must have been a subconscious influence just finished a teal dress.
