An Experiment in Colour

This particular project was inspired by skeins of yarn I saw on Ravelry which had been created from Nunoco sample packs.  Mine is made from Hilltop Cloud fibre, a 200 gramme pack of various fibres in earth and sky colours, along with some turquoise left from my gradient pack that seemed to work well with the main pack.  So, I tipped it all out on the floor and spent a good while deciding which colours to put together in each ply so they would be as harmonious as possible.  I've only used about half the pack for this project which is just over 100grammes in weight.

As always, I forgot to take a photo of the fluff lined up awaiting spinning, but did find a photo of the pack that I must have taken when I bought it at a show last year.  The project is going to be a two ply yarn as you can see and I spun both the singles over the past two days, finishing the turquoise one last night.  Although I am itching to ply it, I have to wait for it to rest for a bit longer.  However, I couldn't wait to show off the pretty singles.
