Today, I have spent two hours trying to get into my own blog. And finally, having negotiated many, many google pages, I have arrived here...successfully. However, now its tea time and I have to go again. At least, that is what the dog says must happen. She is most put out that her evening meal has been delayed and the pathetic noises being made (rather loudly), and the bad tempered pawing of my arms, preclude any attempt at a lengthy post.
Here we have my latest neck shawl, or the first half of it anyway. Its Lady of the Blue Forest by Ashley Knowlton and I am really enjoying knitting it. The yarn is Posh Pamela (with sparkles) in colourway "What time do you call this?"
And then, we have the latest purchase, my first from Colourmart. This is 12/24 Cashmere and Merino Aran in colourway dust, which is going to become a cardigan. Its not a flashy cardi pattern, and its not a flashy yarn colour, but its probably going to be very useful, warm and work with lots of garments in the wardrobe. Its really, really soft yarn when washed. The yarns come oiled for machine knitting, which makes them feel rather hard and thin and not all that interesting. However, once the oil is washed out using really hot water and washing up liquid, the yarn comes up lovely and soft. I also had a sample of pure cashmere and that one you just have to feel to believe.

what time do you call this indeed! ;-)
You are brave taking on the washing of all that yarn. I can't even cope with knitting with the stuff that turns your fingers a funny colour!
Have you seen the new Twist Collective?
Cheers,
AJ
Oooh yummy! I love the navy, very sophisticated.
Sometimes I really wish I could do that...
I wonder if Blogger and Google have had a falling out somehow? I can get to my Dashboard and make posts. Sometimes I can comment on other blogs sometimes I must use anon (which I hate. I think you should own up to your own words) but for weeks I could not make a comment on my own blog. If the google login screen pops up, I get nowhere, even though it claims I've successfully logged in. In short, I feel your pain when trying to make this post.
