Knitting and Stitching Show

Just a small haul this year (NOT!!).   Now all I have to do is find time to knit, sew and spin it all into useable items.  As usual, I have come back from the show with a head full of ideas and plans, though without an idea of how I am going to find time to do it all.  Never mind.  There isn't another show until next summer, so I guess you could say this is my winter projects all in one place.
To the right is almost all of it.  There were a couple of random small things that didn't get photographs (extra cables for the needles, pins, machine needles etc).

First, the fabrics and pattern, lest regular readers believe that I've defected to the dark side and stopped sewing.   The navy at the back is from Rosenbergs and is cotton fleece backed sweatshirting for a  pair of sweat pants and a hoodie.  The only fabric I got from there, despite the usual level of temptation created by his stall.  The lower left is a dark teal/petrol/navy boiled wool, at a bargainous £10 a metre and a warm feeling knit, probably polyester I would guess, at an even more bargainous £4 a metre.  I fail to recall the name of the stall.  The pattern was on special offer and the boiled wool is destined to become the sleeveless view.  The top fabric will be made into a basic knit top, and the whole set of fabrics is destined for my SWAP entry which suddenly gelled perfectly when I saw the boiled wool/knit top fabric today.    I also helped my friend to join us garment sewers, aiding her in the purchase of some of the same boiled wool/knit fabric, as well as some of the brown colourway of the knit fabric, and four knit fabrics for skirts.  I'll be helping with the fitting and encouraging from the sidelines with advice and support of course.  And we will have to text each other on the mornings we want to wear our tops/jackets, in case we both turn up to work wearing the same thing I suppose.  :)

Also purchased was some yarn to make a sofa blanket because the sofa cushions are getting new covers.   The green goes with the cushions, the brown with the sofa body and the walls.   The pink was the closest I could come to the curtain and feature wall colour.   The blanket pattern will probably be Vivid (seen in the top photo) which I've borrowed off mum.  It should knit up reasonably quickly.  I will also make scatter cushions for the sofa  and a new beanbag cover if there is enough fabric left for that and the plan is to get it done before Christmas.

And to indulge my latest passion, more fibre to practice my spinning.  The multi-coloured is only small, just enough to spin up some sock-ish weight for a small shawlette.  These came from Mobair and are merino and silk I think.

Next are merino tops in four colours with some silk in the foreground.  The merino is similar colours to the silk and the whole thing is due to be spun into a very special project.  These all came from Oliver Twists.

Finally, a project to make another shawlette, and I've got some toning Angelina fibre to spin in with the wool (which I think is merino and silk again and also came from Mobair) and although you can't seem them very well because of the flash light on the plastic, a tube of beads to knit into the shawlette.
