Christmas has arrived super early

On Saturday I went to Yarndale in Skipton and my Christmas present was purchased, loaded into my car and conveyed home to be set up in the corner.  Its a bit big to wrap and won't fit under the tree so I was allowed to have it right away.

Having sworn that I would NOT do this, now or ever....I've done it.

Behold my, new to me, Ashford Traditional.  She's a reconditioned wheel from a very reputable dealer and came with four bobbins and the lazy kate you see on the floor at the front.  The pile of fibre in front of her is mostly practice fibre.  The exception being the small multi colour pack at the far left which I will probably spin on the drop spindle.

I have already spun up about fifty grammes of rather dodgy looking singles on the wheel.  That's about half the large cream coloured pile.  The cream is Exmoor horn crossed with some sort of Leicester.  The dark brown fibre toward the back is Zwartbles which is also supposed to be easy for a beginner to draft.

And so,

Coming soon to a computer screen near you... lumpy brown and white yarns brought to you by SewYLD.

WOW! Your talent knows no limit.
I have known spinners before and the work looks mesmerizing.
