Yay, the rain stopped for a bit. Long enough to get out to take photos of the latest pair of trousers. Sadly I didn't notice until I was uploading the photos that I had neglected to press the hems after I'd turned them up. This will be done before they are worn for real so please ignore the less than perfect hems. It was also rather windy, so the wrinkles in the shot showing the back of the trousers are partly due to that (I hope).
This pair are from the master trouser pattern, but with pockets based on my Marfy shorts pattern. The pockets are lined in black quilting cotton with a pattern of pink and green spots.
The buttons came from a Basler skirt which I had bought second hand, wore to death over a number of years and I harvested the buttons when it finally bit the dust. Those buttons have been all over the place, including to the interview for the job I am in now and the previous two jobs before that. The button closures are false in all cases. The pockets are closed with press studs (snaps) and the waistband closes with a hook and bar.
Lining is black bemberg (soooo gorgeous against your legs when worn). Fabric is polyester, ex-Windsmoor as per the previous pair.
The belt shown exactly matches the colour of the turtle neck that I will be wearing to work tomorrow with these trousers and a black and grey tweed jacket. This also matches the ankle boots in very smart burgundy/red ombre patent leather just seen below the trouser hems. However, these hurt my feet terribly so I will be wearing my trusty black heels tomorrow.
I wish I knew how it was that shoes that fit fine in the shop can get home, and become devil shoes, intent on injuring feet beyond redemption. My trusty shoe stretchers won't fit into these as they are ankle boots not shoes. So, they are relegated to a role as very expensive photography props until I can work out a way to bend them to my will.

Lovely trousers :-)
I have no sggestions re the boots.
Your trousers look very smart and the buttons have found a new home. I stuff my boots with wet newspaper, not sure if that will work for you but worked a treat for my boots.
Great looking pants!
I'm sorry but I cannot possibly overlook your imperfect hems. Not even for beautifully tailored and fitted trousers with special buttons. No, simply can't. You need to be flogged for such crimes against the Laws Of Hem Pressing.
Sorry about the boots - rest of the outfit sounds grand!
